NEW YORK, Oct. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Corporation for Supportive Housing (CSH), a national nonprofit Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) that provides financing for affordable and supportive housing, today announced S&P Global Ratings has assigned the organization an A+ issuer credit rating with a stable outlook. The rating reflects CSH's financial strength, disciplined lending practices, experienced leadership, and strong loan portfolio performance developed over nearly 35 years of lending activity.

"For organizations like CSH, strong financial management is ultimately about creating more housing opportunities for people and communities," said Deborah De Santis, president and CEO of CSH. "This rating strengthens our ability to attract capital and expand financing to help communities expand affordable and supportive housing."

At the end of 2025, CSH managed a portfolio of 174 loans and investments totaling nearly $647 million, supporting affordable and supportive housing developments across the country. As an early-stage lender, CSH helps finance affordable and supportive housing developments during the earliest stages of project development. Since 2011, CSH has also received New Markets Tax Credit allocations that help direct investment to projects that strengthen communities and expand access to housing-related services. CSH's loan portfolio has maintained cumulative net losses of just 0.44% over the organization's history, reflecting strong underwriting and portfolio management practices.

"The demand for affordable and supportive housing continues to exceed available resources in many communities," De Santis said. "This rating positions CSH to bring together more capital, more partners, and more financing solutions to address that need."
